the story

Project [RED], a gripping thriller, explores themes of family legacy, and identity. Marc Satchel III, a Sickle Cell Disease survivor, traumatized  by having witnessed the brutal murder of his beloved uncle, Thomas Satchel, endeavors to fulfill his family’s legacy before a community faces genocide through the release of a devastating chemical weapon.

Unraveling secrets about his lineage Marc battles a haunting demon and the corrupt Guild Pharmaceuticals. This corporation holds a monopoly of the healthcare industry while secretly exploiting Black lives for profit, making it a formidable obstacle to Marc’s mission.

The film opens with the gender reveal party of his recently deceased cousin's spouse. The party erupts in chaos when Marc suffers a crippling pain episode from Sickle Cell Disease upon the explosive announcement of the gender of the baby. As the plot unfolds in a gritty, dystopian near-future, Marc’s journey takes him from a life haunted by trauma and a crippling illness to that of a reclaimed warrior and community hero.

Amidst thrilling sequences and intense confrontations, Marc discovers the truth behind The Guild’s latest “Project Red initiative,” a lottery in which the winners receive the multi-million dollar cure to Sickle Cell Disease. Hidden beneath the coding of the firmware containing the cure, lies a more sinister plan. The “randomized” lottery winners not only receive the cure, but also a DNA based chemical weapon that will eliminate every individual they encounter within their bloodline in thirty days.

This revelation sets Marc and his allies, The Warriors, on a mission to dismantle the Guild’s operations. With the support of his family's legacy and the mentorship of Auntie, a seasoned operative, Marc fights to stop the Guild's plans.
