Jeffrey, born on a U.S. military base in Okinawa, Japan to a registered nurse and a Naval Chief Petty Officer, developed a passion for multiple mediums of art from an early age. With a keen determination to not allow physical ailments to limit his potential, Woodson honed his craft to become a professional musician, graphic designer, and photographer. Life with Sickle Cell Disease, a hereditary blood disorder, forced Jeffrey to see the world from an alternative perspective which can be seen in the layered themes through out his work as a filmmaker.
His work has garnered recognition around the world, with official film selections at the Indobali International Film Festival, Bestlov Film Festival and Scarab Short Film Festival, multiple Semi-finalists laurels at London International Filmmakers Festival, FilmHaus, Rotterdam Independent Film Festival, has been featured in publications such as VoyageSTL, and received a 4 out of 5 star review at shortfilmsmatter.com for the four time Award-Winning BEST NARRATIVE Short film “SIP” which premiered at the St. Louis filmmaker’s Showcase receiving the event’s best audience reaction.
With over a decade of production experience working with brands such as Netflix, CBS Sports and Anheuser-Busch, Mr. Woodson has filled his resume with multiple documentaries, commercials, music videos, branded content, and narrative short films. Currently residing in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife and son, Jeffrey is in pre-production on his debut feature film, “Project [RED]” while writing his second feature and developing an episodic pilot.
